Ever wonder how celebs get those fabulously modern waves on the red carpet. Some are thanks to celebrity stylist Kevin Murphy. Mr. Murphy shared his secrets on how to get this look step-by-step with Will Blog for Beauty. Follow along:

Step 1

Kevin suggests beginning by prepping damp hair with a heat protector spray and then drying hair completely. I’d add in drying hair upside down for added volume.

Step 2

Next, he says to curl hair section by section with a small curling iron, then wrapping hair around 8 medium-sized curlers and allowing to set.

Step 3

Finally, spray hair with a medium hold hairspray and brush through.
