A Must See: Dissolvable Couture Wedding Gowns

What do you think about these dissolvable couture wedding gowns? Stylelist says that researchers have come up with dissolvable couture wedding gowns! Actually it is just one gown. This gown will not be at your local David’s Bridal anytime soon either.

These dissolvable couture wedding gowns are supposed to be eco-friendly as well because they are made using biodegradable polyvinyl alcohol. But it doesn’t completely dissolve into nothing (phew…think about a rainy wedding…yikes!). The gown melts into six individual outfits, the last of which is lingerie-esque. The dress, which is part of an upcoming “A Sustainable Marriage” exhibit is unique to say the least.

My thoughts? I can’t bear to think of my wedding dress dissolving away. I loved my wedding dress and although I am all for eco-friendliness, I’m not sure that dissolvable couture wedding gowns are the way to go.
