Cancer Causing Professional Manicure
Would you ever think that a professional manicure could cause cancer? I am not here to bring down the entire nail industry or anything. I am just here to bring a warning to save you from some unwanted skin cancer on your pretty little pointers.
Dermatologist Neal Schultz from DermTV tells us that studies are linking those UV dryers associated with your professional manicure with a rise in the number of skin cancer cases on the fingers. Those UV dryers (think ultraviolet rays) use the same technology as tanning beds (which are also bad for you). If you go in for weekly or even monthly manis, you are adding up serious skin cancer time on your fingers and even your toes. How scary is that?!
Don’t worry, you don’t have to go around sans beautiful nails. Simply opt for the fan dryers instead. Another option; bring a fast dry top coat like Seche Vite Dry Fast Top Coat to the salon.
